In the box (First Impressions)

Firstly, the box feels sturdy in the hands. As a consumer, this is always a reassuring indication that a quality product is inside.

Lifting the lid reveals a Welcome greeting with QR codes to encourage users to download the obligatory, accompanying app from the store of your choosing (Mac App Store or Google Play Store).

Lifting this flap reveals the sleek, dark, two-toned hard plastic case branded with a glossy Elehear logo. Roughly, a computer mouse-shaped case that feels surprisingly heavy for its size. As these hearing aids provide in-case charging capabilities much like many regular earbuds, I presume the hefty weight is attributable to the battery encased within.

In contrast however, the actual ear pieces are super light weight in the hand. I popped them in my ears and very quickly hardly hoticed I was wearing them. The fact that they have a matt silver finish is a good aesthetic consideration as they don’t stand out as most other hearing aids. They could quite unobtrusively pass as music earbuds.

The box naturally contains a handy Quick Start guide and a useful manual to help you get acquainted with the hearing aid.

Also in the box, you will also find a pouch containing a variety of different sized and shaped silicon ear domes should you find the factory-fitted ones not to your liking. There is also a compartment in the box that houses multifunction tools, including a brush to help maintain the hearing aids in peak condition.

I have to say that the packaging is beautifully thought out, designed and engineered with precision. The location and accessibility to all of the contents are carefully thought out. This collectively enhances the user experience and the brand image of Elehear.
