Zeekr Officially Launches into the Australian Market

Zeekr (which is part of Geely Holding Group, the premium electric car brand, made its exciting debut in Australia last night at SXSW Sydney. Zeekr wowed guests with a night of immersive driving experiences, top-notch safety, exclusive car reveals, and a high-energy music performance. The event, held at the Zeekr Cityscape Track on the Event Deck of ICC Sydney, gave everyone a chance to experience the brand’s innovation and design up close.
Zeekr unveiled the highly anticipated Zeekr X, a luxury urban SUV that combines eco-friendly design with outstanding performance and cutting-edge features—marking its official introduction to the Australian market.

A Sneak Peek at the RHD Zeekr 009, Luxury Pure EV MPV
Guests got an exclusive look at the Zeekr 009, a luxury electric MPV, ahead of its launch later this year. It will come in both 7-seat (2+2+3) and 6-seat (2+2+2) configurations, featuring a powerful 450kW dual motor AWD system, a 116kWh battery, and smooth dual-chamber air suspension. Inside, the 2025 Zeekr 009 boasts Nappa leather, a 15″ front display, and a 17″ rear screen. The 2nd-row first-class seats even have built-in speakers, all part of the 3000W YAMAHA surround sound system.

The event was attended by automotive leaders and celebrities like Maddison Brown, Jamie Nguyen, and Costeen Hatzi, celebrating Zeekr’s bold entry into Australia. Connal Yan, Managing Director of Zeekr Australia, shared his excitement about bringing Zeekr’s unique blend of style, performance, and sustainability to Australian drivers.

An Unmissable Experience at SXSW Sydney
 Zeekr made its official debut in Australia at SXSW Sydney with a series of exciting activations. Guests can explore the Z-Box at ICC Sydney, an interactive experience showcasing the tech and luxury design of the Zeekr X, built on the Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA). On the Event Deck, the Zeekr Cityscape Track offers an unforgettable driving experience with stunning views of Sydney’s skyline, while the Z-Gallery features the Australian debut of the Zeekr 009, a pure electric luxury MPV.

As the official super sponsor of SXSW Sydney, Zeekr is hosting panels throughout the week on topics like automotive design, EV evolution, and performance. Speakers include Olympian Bronte Campbell, Carloop founder Riz Akhtar, architect Koichi Takada, and Vert Design’s Andrew Simpson.
